Well i'm from the North East and this is my understanding anyway.. Something that is 'swanky' is that it is suarve (Which I had to check in the dictionary as I was spelling it Swarve) He's a 'Swank' - Has nothing to do with hes a wanker, its the fact that he walks about in paint stained jeans and tight t-shirts and wears stupid shoes..
