A woman who paid £88,000 for a luxury millennium break in Barbados is seeking compensation after claiming the holiday was spoiled.
Janet Keppel-Palmer wants half the cost of the holiday refunded plus £16,500 for the distress caused by the 32-day stay.

She claims the Villa Frangipani, near Bridgetown, was at the mercy of the wind and the rain, the interior was dark and unwelcoming and she described the butler as a "buffoon".

The judge is due to make a ruling on the case on Friday.

Mrs Keppel-Palmer told Mr Justice Gage at the High Court in London: "It was not to the level one would expect when you have spent all that on rent."

I wish I had that much to spend on rent!
