Hello

Having recently purchased and added on Sims Superstar, and having a system well in excess of the system recommendations, I am regularly finding that my puter will play the game for a while and then go really slowly, or stop altogether without crashing.

I have noticed also, that when this happens, the CPU usage history graph spikes in the performance bit of the task manager. The memory use remains constant. Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this, and indeed how to stop it doing it? It's usually after you get more than three people on screen.

Please dont tell me to only have three people on screen at any time, its the nature of the beast that you have to have parties and schmooze...

Any help gratefully recieved, thankee :moo:

I would do if the chuffing thing didnt keep crashing. I have all of them, but now run it without vacation and unleashed, which still doesnt help with the fucked up system peaks.

Ah well. .. Maybe tomorrow my password will arrive from thesims.com and I can go look for advice on site...

It sounds like an awful game. A sort of 'living in London' simulator.

Try checking your task list to make sure you're not running anything unnecessary in the background.
