Actress Laura Sadler, 22, who plays unlucky but nice nurse Sandy Harper in BBC1's Holby City, is in a critical condition in hospital after falling from a second floor balcony at a house in Holland Park, West London.

An ambulance crew was called to the house at about 6.30am and she was taken to hospital where she has remained critically ill.

According to reports, actor George Calil,30, who played Sandy's ex boyfriend Sean Hunt, and also appeared in BBC2's acclaimed serial Band of Brothers, was arrested in conjunction with this incident, and released on police bail until a date in July, pending further enquiries.

The reason for the arrest is that they think coke might have been taken which resulted in the incident... so I heard on Rock FM this morning.

UPDATE:-

A decision will be made shortly about whether to switch off the life support machine that Laura is currently being kept alive on. Doctors have kept her alive so far, so that her estranged father of ten years could be by her bedside.

It doesn't look very optimistic that she will survive, and I think this is a real shame, because she played her role really well, and I think had a promising future.

She was definately do-able too.. don't forget that. :)
