Prepare to be more than excited about this little badger!
This weekend I was more than please to see a running video of the up and coming sequel to the famous metal gear series.
Yes you guest it! Snake is back! and he's in the junggle in the third instalment Snake Eater.
I have to say this is the sexiest thing since the jaw dropping visuals of the MGS2 that I've seen for the PS2 (silent Hill 3 aside)
They have gone to town on this one, instead of the enclosed enviroments of tankers, research bases in the artic, or out sea oil struts you are in a open jungle enviroment thats just has to be seen to belive. Snake himself can be seen in all sorts of "Arnie In predator" Gear. And the animations for him are unreal. Facial expresion to match onimisha 2.
The running action sequences were just to die for! Bullets cuting through thick bush and splashing awy in streams as he pegs it through a small gully filled with Geonome Soilders, stray bullets picking off fish (which by the way you have to catch and eat!) This certainly looks more than promising by any means. I cant find a link at the moment for you to see here (help please kormiic!) I would recommend you all to go out and get yourselves a copy of the current Play Station World Magazine to sample this great moment in PS2 (and any other format its coming on) history!
If anyone does have a link please pop it on for all to witness!

I've only seen a low res trailer and some screenshots of this game but from what I seen it looks awsome. Some of those jungle screenshots look like something that would rival xbox/gamecube level of graphics. Can't wait for this one.

I think it looks rather dubious myself. It's nice they've gone in a new direction, and I like the 'back to basics' ideal of it... but it seems like they've gone kinda in the wrong direction.

I shouldn't speak further of my doubts. Konami can pull this one off, they always do. There's no way they'd sully their good name with a bad MGS game.

However, Konami always like to dick around with us a little with their early footage. We'll just have to wait and see.

I read somewhere that there isn't gonna be a radar on this one. So we gonna be sneakin round a jungle with no idea whats around the next corner...or um.. tree trunk. This suggests to me that there are gonna be some big changes to the way the game is played.

Mmm I like the fact that they are taking new steps with this game but i do have reservations about some of the things I'm hearing.
