View Full Version : Searching for the Latest Games Info
BoilingPoint Jun 20, 2003, 23:26 I am interested in the latest up to the second console/pc games news.
C&VG (http://www.computerandvideogames.com) would appear to be the best place to look for this info, as it updates every day. But It does'nt update until arount 3:30PM GMT, which would indicate that it's relying upon an american source for it's information.
My question to you guys is :-
Do you know of any other games site that updates earlier in the day that is still free to access?
Gamespot does'nt update as frequently as C&VG (and certin areas are pay only).
It would be nice to find a site that sources it's information from both USA and Japan (but of course is in english).
Bit of a toughie I know, but any help would be greatfully recieved.

thats pretty good. It's got links to interviews and upcoming news for pc, consoles and handheld games.
I think its american but they update alot.

Not the dreaded IGN ..... Why pay for what you can get for free elswhere and besides their geared toward the Yanks. Take the new Tomb Raider game as an example. A mate of mine wanted to know when it was due out and according to them it was already out, ah' but not in the UK and even now there's still no sign of it, and from what I've read about the game, bugs etc, it's not worth waiting for either. :P
Looks like I'm gonna have to put up with C&VG .... Ah' well their not too bad I suppose....

Thanx for that mate, don't think much of the layout but the content is good, definately one I'll be adding to my shortcuts and checking out regularly me thinks. :D
www.aafiles.com serves all my needs:)
BoilingPoint Jun 22, 2003, 15:33 I stumbled accross this (http://www.gamepro.com/gamepro/news.shtml) place last night. It caught my attention because it's news pages have a direct feed from Famitsu. This means all the latest Japanese news direct from the horses mouth (as it were) :D

As you can probably tell Im a big evildead fan.
I just hope to christ (and from what I've read and seen it should) Its better than "Hail to the king" Which must go down in history as one of the most poor games I've ever played!

What about checking out www.gamespy.com ? Tends to favour the 'mericans a bit but they are always up to date with a free newsletter each day and they keep an eye on the Japanese scene too. Lots of useful and interesting articles and interviews as well.

Alternatively link from amazon, for example, search for THQ or EA products and click on the publishers link (blue text) to go direct to the home site
