As if I needed another excuse to waste my life indoors...away from 'real' people!

I'd just like to welcome myself...or at least put myself up here to be welcomed or flamed...eithers good!

...also I bring premature warning of my flaming rights:

If you're the kind of person (the ones who prompted me to join) who DEFENDS people like Gareth Gates and Will Young...and beyond defending them, actually claim that they are musical in anyway, shape or form...then its my god-given right to give you verbal hell (all in a good-natured way ye understand)

I'd just like to say that the aforementioned 'pop' stars are nothing other than an image...people who buy their music are either so misfortunate that they haven't heard any real music and so believe this 'noise' to be decent music...or they're suckers who're very susceptible to image and fashion...these people sell well because the music industry make them fashionable and so many people out there desire to be fashionable (very often sub-conciously) and so they're sucked in!

The people I speak of, you know who you are, deep down you know all you're buying is an image (I bet you buy magazines like 'Heat' as well, LOL) and I believe its time to open your eyes and recognise that its garbage and you're being force-fed!

To conclude:

People who watch Big Brother, buy hello magazine, wear Fred Perry clothes, listen to Will Young, style their hair....none of this makes you cool...only weak and shallow.
I plead with you to open your eyes and see the world for what it really is, IMAGE MEANS NOTHING PEOPLE!

You're right in general, but forgetting one thing: most of these people aren't people. They are products we are expected to buy. Let's boycot them. Say hello to the tree.

Bas...the games design for your revolutionary game has just been submitted...it goes a little like this:

You play as Joe Street...you're there to "teach" Mr Young.
What happens is Young picks a song to rip off/cover and he performs it for you in ten second incriments. After each ten seconds you decide whether or not he's doing the song justice...if he is then only a mild beating is required...but if he's not...uh-oh its time to unleash the fury!
The instruments you can use to beat him are widespread...I've chosen to include popular methods of torture from the four corners of the earth since the beginning of time. As you progress through the game, more intricate and satisfying torture methods are made available to you.
There are two aims to the game...you either want to "teach" the little toad how to sing, write his own damn music...and generally just be less shit. Or, you can hideously torture him until he can perform no more...either way his poisonous influence on the young minds of the people today will be diluted to the point of being ineffectual!

I thank you for the inspiration Bas...I'm sure its a winner!!
