I occurs to me that he may just be obsecuring his natural
gumline and teeth with a hideous fake model...perhaps even
just for a form of privacy.

Something tells me that a) it is highly improbable that someone in a first world country (with the resources of a
computer, phone, internet, and digital cameras, etc...) would
ever let their oral hygiene deteriorate to such an extent.

and b) ...that if they were genuine, he would probably not
be so quick to display himself so readily...it's too well
exposed and he is purposefully exemplifing the fact of the
matter with his facial expressions, close-ups...etc.

He probably is not half as bad off appearence wise as he'd
have us think. For appearences, of course... can be
decieving.
