View Full Version : Everquest
seeker of truth Jun 5, 2002, 11:14 just wondering if any dogbombers play everquest.
for those of you who dont play save yourself and dont start, its more addictive than crack cocaine.
blabis
just one question, what the hell is this game about, i checked the site but it just describes the game, what do you have to do?
ever quest (www.everquest.com)
seeker of truth Jun 6, 2002, 09:53 its what is knowen as a MMORPG. (thats massively multiplayer online role playing game.)
like 400 000 or so people play, and you start a character, choose race, class etc. then lvl them up and buy better weapons, spells, amour etc. its kinof like a regular rpg, excpt you play with real people. i've taken a few monts off playing because it was taking over my life. its really REALLY addictive.
hope i explained it ok.
yeah, you explainded it well, but is there a goal, something to strive for?
seeker of truth Jun 6, 2002, 10:48 well. yes and no. to slay dragons,(which take upwards of 50 ppl do so) its really a social game, to get the best amour, best weapon, to become level 60, its really never ending. there is no one goal, but so many avenues to explore, thats why they call it "ever"quest. because there is literally no ending. you cannot complete it. just so see every part of the world in game would be something to strive for. i've been playing about 8 months or so and i've seen about 10% of the map. i've formed good friendships (i know its weird to do so with someone you have never met but when you are almost dead and someone throws you a complete heal, your very thankful.) thats the problem with the game. you get TOO invloved. it becomes too real amlost. and your emotions get right in there too. thats why i stopped playing for a bit.
PooperScooper Jun 6, 2002, 11:30 I think the question that is on everybody's lips is: Do you have to pay to play?????
Cuz when yer rich yer a dick and when yer a dick you are rich and I can assure you my friend I am a dick but I am certainly not rich.
um. . . what did I just say?
Yes, you have to pay to play, you have to purchase the game. Once you've done that, I believe that all you have to do is register and away you go. I know a lot of people who are already doing this, and they are also addicts!
Because HeadFullaGhosts sig is fine now the posts previous to this have been removed or edited.
This message will self-destruct in 24 hours.

Roachmill Jun 8, 2002, 23:41 Is Everquest better than Ultima Online? Everytime I got anywhere in that game, some jerk came along and killed me for no reason.I just quit playing.
I've never played Ultima online, and for that matter, I've never actually played everquest myself. I've heard a lot about it, but have no real first hand experience of either.
seeker of truth Jun 11, 2002, 04:43 never played UO, buti've heard tht eq is MUCH better.
netniV Jun 11, 2002, 21:40 I'm still wondering what UO is all about though.
