Does anyone have a really cool art gallery near them, or is there a good exhibition in your town/city currently?
I'm looking for places to go look at some good art. All types of art... just some interesting stuff.
I am travelling to London to see the Tate on the 25th October... but I still want to see some more art while I have a few days off.
So, reccommend me an art gallery or an exhibition and I may travel to see some nice art.
A URL to the gallery/exhibiton website would be helpful for me... as well as naming the nearest train station.

MOMA in Oxford usually has decent stuff on - http://www.moma.org.uk/
I haven't seen this exhibition, though.
Since it certainly won't fill a day you could go to the Ashmolean and look at Piero Di Cosimos 'Forest Fire' for an hour. One of my favourite pictures. The link below doesn't seem to work from here....

saachi gallery is great at the moment, i went during the hurst exibition, which has changed now but its still worth a look

The National Gallery in Edinburgh has got a Monet Exhibition on atm, apparently it is some of his less well known stuff, and it has been open for a while, so the queues should have died down :/

The museum of photography in Bradford is a good day out.
They've got that huge in your face Imax cinema too !

if you are in Brum there is the IKON gallery which is great, a little odd, but great.
They had two exhibitions last year one of which involoved you being laid on a board and being slid of out the window, the other was a "special" greenhouse full of mist and odd lighting.
