Over the weekend, i was looking over my large game collection (Mainly deciding on what games I'm taking on holiday this week), and realised the amount of crappy games I have collected over the years, from the dire MK3 on the Gameboy, to Goof Troop on the SNES. After thinking about the quality of the chimps they must hire in quality testing, I began thinking on what could be put into a "perfect game".
I have been putting ideas to paper since then, and although I could put down what I have, the list is probably only a quarter done.
So what do you think would contribute to the perfect game? Blast your ideas here, and what I have down, I will post on Friday (The last chance I will have)

a game with some awesome and easy controls. with a strafe left and a strafe right button/direction. every game needs those.

It has to be a game that allows newbies to pick it up, and yet allow more experienced players to keep on enjoying it with new found attributes. Maybe something like a multiplayer too, only one that adjusted the hardness according to the person playing.

Deeply emersing plot, characterization and settings. Once more a completely(or as close to it as possible) non-linear story.

never mind an interface to plug into... you want realistic touch and sensation with AI responsiveness and lots of groaning!

And a refillable lubricant deposit.

Believe it or not, that supposed to be happening somewhere down the line. Can't give much info as I don't have it.

If I had all the info, it would have been on the boards months ago!

I reckon that it would have to be a first person shooter.
Controllable only by mouse and keyboard.
Silly amounts of blood and gore.
Playable on-line in teams(Wolfenstein style)
Ridiculously easy to design new maps.
It should be backed up on line with the ability to download new baddies .
The downloadable baddies could consist of football(soccer) teams you hate(with scanned in faces).
You could have Politician baddies or even Bin Laden and pals.

It would be a worthy sequel to Syndicate (Remember that on the Amiga?), in 1st person.

Syndicate wars was shite.

Nostalgia trip....years ago, Orange phones had a slogan that said "the future's bright, the future's orange."

They'd obviously played Syndicate on the Amiga, where everything was fucking orange.

Scanned in faces? weren't they going to be in perfect dark before rare had to pull it?

Pull it? It was because they thought there wasnīt enough people outside of Japan that had the GBCamera and the Transfer Pack, thatīs why they ditched it.

When I return from my holiday 1 week today I will archive all I put down for the "perfect game" and some of your own suggestions. I will reopen this thread then.
