RevSweatyPalms Dec 10, 2003, 17:58 Just spent and hours trying to get a refund in "Argos" because they forgot to give me a shity free gift with the item I had purchased.
They wanted to do a stockcheck and wanted to me wait so I got midly angry and eventually they gave in.
Why should I fucking sit around like a fucking spaz for an hour when they fucked up in first place.
Stupid Tossers.
Bought some funiture from Argos once... got stoned and then tried putting it together... fucked it all up putting panels the wrong way round...
So generally bolloxed it up... called Argos saying it was there fault they were like okay but it needs to be flat packed for pick up...
So I beat it to pieces with a hammer and Duct taped the packaging round it.... the Pick up guys didn't even bat an eyelid as bits of wood were falling out...
Sweet,,, I recommend it any day for stress relief...

A few years ago, the gf alison decided to buy an acoustic guitar from argos. We picked it up, and I thought, this box is a bit big, but then dismissed the thought.
Got the box home, and there was not 1 acoustic guitar.....but 2 of them. 2 classical acoustic guitars - how the hell could the person giving us the box not realise!!!!
Argos is ace.....

D-vO - I worked in the call centre you'd have called to get your stuff picked up - we always asked people to "disassemble" the flat pack furiture before sending it back - the amount of people that used to just say "I'm just going to take a hammer to it" was really high! Nice to see someone actually did!! Nice one.;)

Same thing happened with my sisters mate and some scabby crystal picture frames. She brought one and was given 4. So she flogged the extras and went back and did it again twice.

But they are good value and I like having their catalogue so that I can compare prices. Fortunately everyone else is trying to compete with Argos leading to lower prices on the same products in other shops.

The girls on the make up counters must use a weeks takings on lippy alone, bet they dont buy it though.
Minimum wage workers working for minimum wage plastic users who think they look posh by shopping there.
JOhn Lewis has a fine selection of handbags though. Pass me a radley anyday.
