Someone poisoned my mums kitten on Christmas Eve. She spent all of Christmas day looking for it. On Boxing day we put up notices to try and find the kitten but a neighbour came out and told us that another neigbour had found a dead cat in their garden. Mum had to identify her cat and buried it today with it's favourite squeeky mouse.

The poison was not meant for her cat but as part of some long running neighbourhood battle between two other neigbours down the road. Don't know why my mums cat had wandered that far - she did not normally.

My mum is mortified and I am just sad that people like that can exist.

Do you think my mum should get the police involved or just be upset but stay out of the neighbourhood fued?

What ever your thoughhts give your cats/dogs whatever a big hug - my mum will tell you Christmas is shit without them.

Don't think the police would be much good at the moment but the R.S.P.C.A. might be interested to know, and they would press charges if animal cruelty was involved.

Did you keep a sample the poisoned bait used ?

That's really shit. I agree that you should report your neighbours to the RSPCA, because if they're putting down poison it could poison other pets and wildlife, and even possibly children too.

Sorry to hear about your cat.

Sorry to hear about the cat. As well as the RSPCA, your local council should take a dim view of people putting poison down. It's one thing to put rat poison inside your house but to put poison outside has implications for the community at large, as you & your mum are too well aware. First step though: have a quiet word with these two clowns and tel them how little you care about their feud, how much you cared for your cat, and merry bloody christmas :(

Thanks guys.

Mother just wants to move on - but I pointed out to her that if she gets another kitten it might happen again. We will have to wait and see. I think that she is worried that if she gets involved then it will lead to worse.

Bastards.

Next time I'm in London ( about twice a month ), I'll happily send a couple of boys round to have a " quiet " word with these tossers.

I wouldn't take dai up on his offer if I were you alex. By boys he means a couple of mincing Kings Cross rent boys of his acquaintance, not much use ina fight. Now if it's a couple of real hard cases you want me and ace mcfly are available for a small consideration.
