Found this on a newsgroup and have since booked, so thought I would share the wealth.

Travelodge are having a "fiver frenzy" in that on certain dates up till the 31st March you can get a room for a fiver. Bookings must be made by 18th January 2004. You have to be a bit flexible with your dates, coz not all dates have availability, but I just booked a family room for the four of us to go to London at the end of March for a fiver, and in my opinion, that fecking ROXXORS.

Oooh, possibly valuable information.
But I've tried to book rooms there before and if you want one for a Saturday night in Manchester / Liverpool it sounds as though you have to book months in advance.

Yeah, I think they have pretty much sold out of Friday Saturday rooms by the looks of things :/ on this deal... There are some discounted ones, £40 instead of £69, for some hotels, but I spose it's a bit hit and miss, like an Easyjet Fly for A Quid deal in the paper...
