Most of my furniture coomes from these kind of places. Usually you'll need to give it a good scrub first but it's cheap and it saves one tree in the process. Toxic Jan 15, 2004, 04:28 Buy a bag of nails, an axe and a Swiss army knife. Visit your local park. Cut down nearest tree. Fashion furniture using available tools (make sure you buy a Swiss army knife that has a saw blade) Tip: To make a comfy, cheap and environmentally sound mattress, why not use moss, ferns, birds nests etc. Goat Rider Jan 15, 2004, 09:26 Though your suggestions seem very tempting :) I am still in the dark on this subject haha skins Jan 15, 2004, 11:32 Make yourself is prob the cheapest;) Pokemink Jan 15, 2004, 12:45 CHeck your local paper. There'll be some local ghetto furniture retailer that'll do that sort of thing. I saw a deal in last Sunday's local paper that offered Wardrobe chest drawers bedside cabinet double bed go on, how much do you reckon? try £200, for all that gear. I shouldn't imagine it was Chippendale, but that is fucking cheap, right? |
