Sometimes I think Sepp Blatter's going nuts:

Football's most senior administrator attracted the wrath of the women's game last night by suggesting female players wear tighter shorts to promote "a more female aesthetic".
Sepp Blatter, the president of the world governing body Fifa, said women should have skimpier kit to increase the popularity of the game. "Let the women play in more feminine clothes like they do in volleyball," he said.

"They could, for example, have tighter shorts. Female players are pretty, if you excuse me for saying so, and they already have some different rules to men - such as playing with a lighter ball. That decision was taken to create a more female aesthetic, so why not do it in fashion?"

I mean, how can football's top guy say something so blatently sexist, and stupid. He's totally wrong about women using a lighter ball as well. It's simply not true. He's losing the plot, that guy.

But from a marketing perspective he does have a point. Better yet paint the strips on like they do in the lads mags.

Whatever happened to the tight shorts we wore back in the 80's?? Bet from a marketing perspective that'd attract more Ladies to watch football.

Fuck it lets just all play naked!

If women must play games naked there are better games than rugby, and not all involve balls.

They SHOULD play in tighter outfits.
The italian mens team do, so why shouldn't they?

Also, it's not shown on telly, so who gives a fuck.

All the female footie players that i've seen are all munters.

I once went to a local womens football match. The language alone would have made an Irish navvy blush. Neildeal's right in that they were all dogs, plus they were absolutely fucking rubbish at football.

Just to add my two penneth worth...

I have seen women's teams here that would beat men's teams in the UK. Also, they were stunning to look at. Let's not tar the whole world with the same brush.

You might be right Guinness but you certainly wouldn't have stayed to full time in the match I watched mate. The sight of those 22 dogs swopping shirts would have put me off women for life.

I don't have a problem with women playing football, as long as it doesn't get in the way of the washing, ironing and cleaning.

I've known some quite pretty ladies that play football.

Am I the only man who fantasises about being the workmen in the Mingles advert, you know the one, dirty sweaty women in football kit get naked for collective shower after exerting themselves for 90 min..... oh sorry, where was I? :)) Yes, well, the Enghland rugby team played in tight shirts for the World Cup if I remember correctly and yes, it is a bit base and unsophisticated, but there's a beast in me that would like it if it happennedthat way...

The sensitive man in me says Sepp Blatter is a lizard for making a comment like that, but no-one shouted about male exploitation when they saw England's World Cup rugby kit...
