I've just been informed by a reliable source that 2004 is actually the UN International Year of Rice and that in the UK between the 19th and 28th of May we shall be celebrating the "Be Nice To Nettles Week."

Does anyone know of equally bizzare events or how we should celebrate them?

it's about time we were nice to John Nettles, he hasn't had much work since Bergerac ended

You probably didn't recognise him since he has a W.C. Fields alcoholics nose now. Whatever would Diamond Lil say?

Yeah, Anneka Rice. Argentina had laid claim to her arse.

Well, according to www.brownielocks.com, who has a particular bee in his bonnet about people who dont give credit to his site when they nick his list...

Today is Penguin Awareness Day. I wholeheartedly approve of this, because those penguins are taking over the world. We need to be aware.
And it's also Judgement Day, so that doesn't bode well either.

Answer Your Cats Questions day is 21st January.
Snowplough Mailbox Hockey day is 23rd,
and here's one Im looking forward the most to celebrating:-

Bubble Wrap Appreciation day on the 26th January.

Uberminx, you all missed the 24th, which is 'wire transfer cash to Brausen' cos it's his birthday day. Shame on you, neglecting the old.
