This happens to be the only site which doesn't regularly fail due to maintenance or unforeseen downtime. Whenever a game I play, or another forum I read goes down, this is the one site I always come to to pass the time, and I end up staying for a while longer after said games/forums are up again :P

Downtime is when the servers are busted or something and the site is inoperable. You just get a 'Page cannot be displayed' message which I havent seen on dogbomb for years.

If I'm not mistaken, I guess it's tomtom who deserves the props as well as mr dogbomb.

Ive seen it down a few times...not alot, and its usually up within a couple of hours...but it has happened recently, if Im not mistaken...

Ken - it was down for a couple of minutes earlier this year - but it was planned downtime - and we got advanced warning in the chatroom :D

I think it also has to do with the fact that there are ennough donators to host the site on a decent server, and not a $1/year infinite bandwidth deal (in web hosting terms, deals which look too good to be true usually are :) )

it went down on me once (ooo-err missus) but not really had any probs with this site. mines been a bit slow of late, but i found the tracker software i added to it when i was trying to trace a troll so ive deleted that, hopefully it will work quicker now. my boards 1 year old tomorrow and we're having a virtual party which is rather childish but nevermind.

i love this site, of all the sites out there on the web i stick with this one, mine and that chavscum site. takes a lot to keep me interested and continue posting on a board and this place is one of them.

Some dogbomb facts:

We are down VERY, VERY rarely. It is usually pre-planned downtime and it is announced in the chatroom (#dogbomb on EFNET)
We have been down for a day before. It was due to a crappy hosting thing rather than our problem.
Tomtom is the administrator and technical guy around this area. He loves you all.
It is the donations from Top Dogs and kind souls which help keep this site reliable and keep it going. Thank you.
