David Blunkett has admitted that when he was woken with a phone call saying the Harold Shipman had hung himself, His first thought was and I quote.
You wake up and you receive a call telling you shipman has topped him self and you think, is it too early to open a bottle

Now its what nearly everyone is thinking but should a man in his position openly say it?

I think fair play to Mr. Blunkett speak as you find and all that, but its not really very professional is it?
Harold Shipman should of been hung but not by his hand, Its good that the evil old fuckers dead but suicide is no justice

:haha: there must be some bug going round with the politicians called honesty or one which causes lack of thought before opening of mouths :D

HIs death would have come sooner or later - a lot if the relatives of those he killed / or is thought to have killed all seemed to live on in hope that he would come clean and tell all, i think that this would never have happened and as much as people now have to live with not knowing, it is just more certain now.

It tells you a lot about Blunkett. By the time he goes he'll probably be foaming at the mouth, ranting about how people who park on double yellers should be transported to Australia with 500 lashes, hanging's too good for them etc. He really has lost it. If you have a choice between pretend Tories and real Tories, vote for the real Tories.

Myself and I'm sure my dear friend Manta7 would concur wholeheartedly with your last sentence cor.

I absolutely love it when politicians forget that they are politicians and turn back into people for a brief spell. Like when John Prescott had a brief lapse into his original "Biffa Bacon" state and chinned that bloke in Wales. Give that man another car. And the MP that was found hung naked with an orange in his mouth. He forgot he was a politician big time.

I say "say it as you see it." which might be entirely inappropriate given the politician involved, but it's nice to see him letting his guard down.

Reminiscent of the Jamie Bulger killers. They should have been killed when they came out, but the taxpayer spent thousands on getting them new identities. So they can carry on with their lives, a new start, whilst the child they murdered lies in a coffin. That's British justice for you.

Mizzaberry - where does the justice you speak of turn into downright revenge?

I think revenge IS justice in the case of murderers like that.

What then of a murderer who acts his own revenge upon someone? Using your guidelines - would that be justice?

I'm 46 and Blunkett is the best Home Secretary in my lifetime. More commonsense than the rest of the politicians put together (apart from Norman Tebbit)
