fireboy Jan 20, 2004, 17:44 Have swish 2.0 installed on my machine, was working fine (last used in november) go to run it and get the following error message: (see pic)
So i uninstall restart and reinstall to no avail, what does it all mean ?
did you defrag your machine after the uninstall?
try that and then reinstall, might work?
freeware?
download again!
*shrugs shoulders*
dogbomb Jan 20, 2004, 18:58 The memory could not be "read".
Why would that last word be in quotes?
fireboy Jan 20, 2004, 19:05 I have no idea - not freeware tho, was working fine, defragging machine at the moment but i cannot see how that would cause any problems.
fireboy Jan 20, 2004, 20:30 defrag makes no difference whatsoever :/

heh heh.
So whats up with it ??
registry problem methinks. Chances are its a commen one, so check around help forums to see if anyones posted a fix. Otherwise i would guess a reinstall of windows would be the only solution.
But wait and see if anyone else gives anymore advice before doing anything that drastic
UnoChild Jan 21, 2004, 09:59 Ah, the joy of Swish. For the man who wants flash animations but cant be arsed learning Flash.....

or does not have the time
or cannot afford the high prices of the Flash MX / Flash software
or only needs to make simple presentations
UnoChild Jan 21, 2004, 10:28 Indeed.......
Swish 2.0 is actually quite good for text animations. Even though I would consider myself pretty good with Flash 5 and MX, I sometimes use Swish for site intro's....Less time and hassle.

Yep, so i may well go for a full reinstall, has almost been six months since my last one - this time round i will only install programs that i know i will use regulary this time.
