We have a grease theme night at work tonight, I have a john-travolta esque costume ready and I'm growing my hair anyway so I have enough to put into a quiff, trouble is, I've (surprisingly enough) never had a quiff before. One of the guys at work has sugested a hairdrer but I don't own one, can anybody help me out with some advice. The only tools I have at my disposal are a comb and some hair serum/gel type stuff.

ok, a little gel into your hair and leave it to dry off, give it some basic shape.

Then apply a litltle more gel to the Quiff section of your head to give it definition and the shape you want - I personally sport spikes when I have enough time :D and use a similar method.

And keep away from the comb, it seperates hair too much and it will fall out :D plus comb = bad

I don't own a camera, it got stolen a few weeks back, but a couple of the guys have camera phones, I'll try and get them to get some pictures. Might possibly be a reporter from 'the venue' there too as it's gonna be a goodbye party for McKlusky's now they've gone bankrupt.
