There's just something about JML products that kind of makes you want them, despite them being entirely useless...

slimming pants (http://www.jmldirect.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1)

ickle sewing machine (http://www.jmldirect.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1)

lady-beard remover (http://www.jmldirect.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1)

What a wonderful world...

Don't forget the Space bags, Fast fit Ironing board cover, touch lights, edge knife, multi chef.....

I used to work for JML, Pete Mills (son of John Mills (of John Mills Ltd)) is a very nice man.

Why would anybody want these things....What on earth would I do with a tiny sewing machine, for example? Or come to think of a lady-beard remover?
However, I admit everyone occasionally has the use for some slimming pants......

I was going to buy the tiny sewing machine, take it to graduation and charge everyone a couple of quid to attatch their robes to their shirt so they don't slip off. Genius.

Cool, but from experience I know they give you safety pins. Which has the added advantage of not needing to actually rip the gown from your shirt when you have finished with it...

i must admit- the JML ironing board covers are quite good.
There is something about those adverts that is incredibly effective, it's like those American 'info-mercials'- when the advertiser is not trying to sell you a lifestyle but a product that actually does stuff-straight away I'm more inclined to believe that the product actually works.

Info-mercials are incredible for their selling power, I once saw a JML dirt devil (dust buster) pick up a bowling ball, fantastic - I want one! why would I want to pick up a bowling ball with a mini hoover? I don't! but I want a mini hoover that could pick up a bowling ball should the need arise.....

Then there was the info-mercial where they bring in a fully mature royal bengal tiger to run over an inflatable double bed to prove that it's so tough, the claws won't burst it.

I know that when I invite bengal tigers round to stay......
