OK, So Ive Seen The First Bands Announced (http://www.readingfestival.com) For Reading, And I Have To Say Im Pretty Disapointed

Planning To Go With R-C-M And thevinesrock Has Made Me More Intrested In The Lineup Then In Recent Years Where Ive Gone For Free To Work And See The Awesome Headliners.

This Year Its A Mix Of Crap Bands/Artists (50 Cents The Sencond headliner On The MAIN STAGE On The Sunday?!? The Streets There For A 3rd Year In A Row?!?)

Along With Bands, Who Despite Being Awesome, Played, Even headlined Last Year, Or The Year Before (Offspring, Ash, The Darkness)

However, Brilliant To See Green Day There And Good To See The Return Of The White Stripes. Just Hoping The Next Lot Announced Are Better (In Fairness, They Did Get Better The More Announced Last Year)

What You Think Of The Lineup So Far?

Anyone Going To This/Leeds?

It does seem a little disappointing. Green Day (yawn), Offspring (yawn even more), 50 Cent (err...not my cup o' tea), The Darkness (i'm going to fall asleep soon) and The Libertines (I do not need to express my opinion of them again).

However, Morrissey is playing, as are Franz Ferdinand and The Hives - so that is a good thing. Would prefer seeing the White Stripes at a smaller venue, but they may be good.

I go every single year to Leeds festival, but am contemplating giving it a miss this year and going to V instead (which has a much better line up this year).

Haven't decided yet.

the line up is a bit...meh! but nevermind, should be fun anyhoo.
And anyway there are a few good bands so at least it wont be a complete letdown musicwise.

All the line-ups seem shite this year. V had quite a rocky line-up last year and some of favourite bands played. Distillers to name one. Feeder to name another.

This year Dido and Pink.

Urgh.

You have to admit that "Especially Pissed Off After Rumours" is a great name for an album! ;)
