View Full Version : The Greatest Album You Don't Own
Ronin Da Bomb Apr 5, 2004, 00:28 What's The Greatest Album You Don't Own, And Why?!?
For Me, Its (Probably In My Top 3 Albums Of All Time) The Clash's Self Titled Debut. Why Don't i Own This Masterpiece? Well, My mum Has The Original Vynal Copy, Which Has A Better 'Live' Sounding Recording Then The Remastered CD, So I play it To Death On My Record Player. Also, i have The Clash On Broadway Which Features All The Tracks Anyway
dogbomb Apr 5, 2004, 00:29 shouldn't this be retitled "The Greatest Album You Don't Own On CD"?

Alex the Large Apr 6, 2004, 21:16 And what does it say about someone that they KNOW an album is great but have never really made any effort to get a copy? Sounds like a right rimlar to me.
Ronin Da Bomb Apr 6, 2004, 23:33 Surely People have Listened To Music Other Than That Which They Own?
I have my friends copies of A Perfect Circle's "Mer de Noms" and Q.O.T.S.A.'s "Rated R", both of which are great.
Not only are people forgetting albums they've heard lesewhere or simply admire, I also think you're all forgetting certain (downloaded for back up reasons only) properties they have lying around.
Goo is a mind readed, plain and simple.
The Amelie soundtrack. Dad got it on cd, I put it on minidisc, and now I need never own it.
daidavies Apr 7, 2004, 01:22 Ronin....if an album's great.....you should own it......unless you are talking about photo albums....if so, there's quite a nice one in supasnaps..it's got a pale blue, sort of, early evening sky effect on the front...believe me .......it would be ideal for my holiday snaps...........I'd just die to be able to own it....you've got to see it.............rimlar.........have you got their photo album
I don't own albums by Air or Daft Punk, and my life is but an empty vessel because of this. Luckily, my flatmate has them, so I don't need to buy them. :)
World Of Weird Apr 7, 2004, 14:49 Home taping is killing music...
...my fucking ARSE!
I've been introduced to some of the best music EVER by virtue of home-made compilation tapes. I've got a cupboard full of them at home!
Mariska Apr 9, 2004, 10:04 I don't own 'On The Heels Of Love' by Roger Voudouris, mainly because it was not released in Australia and my attempts to import it from overseas failed. I don't actually know if it is any good since I don't have it, but since I liked all his other albums.........
