hi

wasnt sure which board to put this in so feel free to move it if im in the wrong bit

im needing a length of S Video cable (about 12 metres) so far the most i could find was 5metre length and it was 90 quid for that so im looking for somethign a little cheaper

any help appreciated

Someone was definitely trying to rip you off at 90 quid!!! I'd expect a TV with it for that!

EBay is another good option, providing you check the feedback first of course.

yeah fuck knows what the 90 wuid thing was all about ended up gettin 10 metres for jsut over a fiver

i now need a scart to bnc cable but an only find 1.5 and its 10 metre i need again fucking cables !!!

The only BNC I know was on the old coaxial network cable...

Scart to RF (TV aerial), you mean? You'll need a special converter for that, it'd probably cost about half a TV.

Unless you mean Scart to RCA/Phono, in which case Maplin or RS would be a good port of call.

BNC is equivalent to thin ethernet. However, BNC cabling is very cheap and if you could just convert from SCART to BNC you'd run that nicely over 10 metre's :-D

rossco what exactly are you connecting to what? i've got TV out on my gfx card and £20 got me a cable and all the connectors needed to go from that to my scart TV socket using an s-video cable. i'm not sure why your having so much hassle.

got it solved now had a cable that was with it but thought it had fucked up jsut the wire had come of the scart bit on the end it was a scart to a rca plus in the end that i used ...it was for a connecting my sky box up to a lcd projector
all is workign now thanks
