The vines have just released their new album and i must say it totally sucks. I am a huge fan of the vines but when i listened to their second album i was close to tears(not in a good way). I think that ride was a single simply because the rest of the songs were so poor or rip offs. The vines have always ripped off bands like nirvana but the song animal machine is a bit too close for comfort.
I have seen them 3 or 4 times and each time they were different but always good. I love there old album and thing that the band are very talented but the over production kills their sound. I hope they release a third album soon so that they can prove once more how good they can be.

i got this feeling when listening to the new amen album. as well as the last spineshank and metallica album. not bad albums just compared to there previous oferings they just don't hit the hights.

if it sounds too much like their old material we complain

if it sounds too little like their old material we complain

seems they only have a thin line to walk along but as long as they like the music and they keep from selling out it's not all bad.

"selling out" - Steer clear, people get furious when that phrase is thrown around. Well, they have here anyway.

I was a little worried about the new Amen album after hearing the single a few times. So much so, I haven't bought it.

I think it's got a bad press. Ok, it's pretty mediocre but it's not THAT bad - I've heard a lot worse.
