I've heard half of it, it's VERY different from his previous stuff. Some keyboards reminiscent of his early solo stuff (Playboys, Interesting Drug) but also his vocals are quite strange. Some songs hardly sound like him at all.

Can't wait to hear the rest.

I've heard the album and it pains me to say it BUT... it isn't very good. I was really looking forward to it but it is more Your Arsenal than Suedehead.

Shame.

I've heard most of it - it's pretty damn solid although I'm unsure whether he should have called it a day earlier - i really am no fan of wrinkly rock stars even if he is the mozzer and one of my favourites....

Have you seen the line up for his Meltodwn festival - he has the New York Dolls playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but who will take poor johnny thunders place on guitars...?

Anyone going to see him at MEN arena?

Nah, bollocks to that. I saw him at Wembley Arena in 1991 and it was shat. Far too big a venue. I'll do the Meltdown dates instead, much nicer.

Incidentally, I have it on solid gold authority that he's gonna do a Brixton Academy size venue tour of the UK in October. But keep it under yer hat, eh?

yeah its a big venue, not the most ideal but i reckon it will go down well....

Yeah, it will. However, that's due to the fact that Morrissey fans, by and large, would cheer like crazy if he walked onstage, shat in his pants, and walked back off again. Don't get me wrong, I've been a massive fan since 1984, but I've been to some truly awful Moz shows over the years and seen people outside afterwards in tears and talking to each other about what an 'amazing experience' it was.

Morrissey can pretty much get away with anything in the live environment, even playing venues so big he's just a tiny dot in the distance. But it's not for me.

Anyway, enjoy it!
