staysinvegas May 14, 2004, 01:27 one of the best has got to be the theme from "Dynasty" (early to mid-eighties).

It featured Tony Curtis and Roger Moore in the early 70's
netniV May 15, 2004, 18:40 The theme tune to Quantum Leap.
Flip Gubbins May 15, 2004, 20:14 "The Persuaders" ? That was a Haunting Dulcimer melodie with a Synti bass line. Unforgetable.
Flip Gubbins May 15, 2004, 20:16 "Magpie" had quite an earthy opener didnīt it?
Mr. Biscuit May 15, 2004, 21:16 Who remembers the theme tune to the Double Deckers?

Way back in the days when only one of your school mates was obese, and it was perfectly acceptable to call him 'Doughnut' on national television...
stoke_fields May 15, 2004, 21:21 netniV spouted:
The theme tune to Quantum Leap.
Amen to that.

I've been humming that all week. Hugo, you are my personal hero for the day.
World Of Weird May 17, 2004, 13:50 Follyfoot!
Can't believe nobody's mentioned Rainbow yet. That guitar solo is ace.
Flip Gubbins May 17, 2004, 14:55 "The Sweeny"
The opening titles were great too. Camera pans over stills of stationary Ford Granadas...Good grief!
Well now you've met the pink panther
the rinky dink panther

truly original
panther pink panther

"fuddle-de-dumf, just waiting for that"john peel
Mariska May 18, 2004, 02:17 Gunslinger
Stagecoach West
Rawhide
Chapion The Wonder Horse.
I'M KIDDING! I'M KIDDING!
Don Cool May 18, 2004, 19:50 The theme tune to "Teddy Edward" does it for me (fantastic flute work) and the jazzy urgency of the early 80's version of "The Saint" (starring Ian Oglivy) - both of which can be downloaded from tv.cream.org - they don't write 'em like they used to!
