View Full Version : Which music would you choose for your funeral? Mikey G May 14, 2004, 08:45 Keith Jarrett, The Koln Concert or maybe Eno's Apollo. Mr. Biscuit May 14, 2004, 08:59 Marillion - Estonia Assuming anyone actually came. magicguppy May 14, 2004, 09:17 Lord can you hear me - Spiritualised Everytime I play this I have to turn it down at the end 'cos it's so fuckin' loud. I would love to imagine some crem somewhere shuddering, windows rattling because the guy on the CD player turned the volume up at the quiet start but didn't have the heart to turn it back down.... bjamez May 14, 2004, 16:18 either the beatles - why dont we do it in the road or metallica's version of anti-nowhere leagues "so what" stoke_fields May 14, 2004, 22:09 The Auteurs - Unsolved Child Murder staysinvegas May 14, 2004, 22:11 a friend asked me this question a while back. i decided on "highway to hell" ac/dc hugo-a-gogo May 14, 2004, 22:15 there is a light and it never goes out (assuming i was killed by either a double decker bus or a ten ton truck) Mariska May 16, 2004, 14:13 I was originally considering Roger Voudouris 'Will I Ever Feel Good Again?' or El DeBarge's 'Don't Say It's Over'. Metallica's 'Mama Said' isn't out of the question either. And I think I'd go for one of those female Funeral Director companies like Marina Purslowe. The people who conduct most of the funerals I've been to lately all look like bloody undertakers. Flip Gubbins May 16, 2004, 15:14 "La Paloma" SweetGalenas May 16, 2004, 15:38 "In My Time of Dying"~Led Zeppelin Newvrovski May 16, 2004, 17:01 "Organ Donor" by DJ Shaddow, with those carrying the coffin doing breakdancing when the beats come in. Then "Death is not the end" Nick Cave version Royster May 16, 2004, 17:35 "13 Angels Standing Guard 'round The Side Of Your Bed" by A Silver Mt Zion butchspangly May 16, 2004, 18:12 The conga! just image everyone walking in going,"La da da da da-DA, la da da da da-DA!" UnoChild May 16, 2004, 18:16 I've had this planned out for as long as I remember. Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pts 1 and 2. UnoChild May 16, 2004, 18:17 hugo-a-gogo spouted: there is a light and it never goes out (assuming i was killed by either a double decker bus or a ten ton truck) Ahh... the subtle humour of a smiths fan. Priceless. :D tweez May 16, 2004, 18:56 I'm planning to have my ashes shot out into space and then fall back to earth, burning up as i hit the atmosphere, causing a meteor shower. I think this costs about £5000 to do atm, but i hope it comes down in price by the time i snuff it. If it doesn't, then my kids can fucking well pay for it anyway. Slint - Good Morning, Captain. (just fot the final "i miss you "refrain) magicguppy May 17, 2004, 14:33 Bargain, an normal funeral isn't all that far away from that price. I was planning something similar involving a home-made giant catapult, a spiky helmet and a desert. I promised my mates I'd wait for them as well, we'll have a kind of post mortem competition to see who makes it furthest. Sort of like scrapheap challenge meets 6 feet under. TheAlmightyWa May 17, 2004, 18:45 I've always thought 'Do you realise' by the Flaming Lips would be quite sentimental. Failing that, the Wizbit theme tune would work |
