I actually want France to hammer the Croats. I think if we are to qualify, it's likely to be in 2nd place, and should we (England) only manage a draw against Switzerland (unthinkable), a France win would be a better result for us.

Uno's Prediction

France 4 - 1 Croatia

3-0 After the Swiss game I can't see how Croatia can score a goal.

France 2 - 2 Croatia.

For me, France were poor, and Croatia deserved the 1 point. This means England just need a point against Croatia to go through.

A definate game of two halfs as the cliche goes.

France were in cruise control in the first half. A goal up, playing lovely fluid passing football, the croatians basically chasing shadows and not even in with a chance.

Come the second half and by the 52nd minute Croatia are 2-1 up. Talk about a total change of their mentality and France then went to pieces.

I thought Prso ran the front line brilliantly for Croatia, while on the other hand Trezeguet and Henry are having a piss poor poor tournament by their standards.

And again the French get some luck from low and behold a back pass haha. It was a bad one though and i do think it was definately ball to hand.

Anyway i agree Uno Croatia deserved the point, they were a totally different team from the opener against Switzerland. The French cant keep relying on Zidane and Vieira who are the two stand out players for the French so far.

Oh and how the hell did Mornaar miss that?? haha

I thought the Croats were damn Good. Bloody hell they´ve got spirit! The French were really trying to score, but just didn´t have the solution.

A draw wasn't any better for the Croats than a loss, not that Davies and Lawrenson seemed to realise - twats. If they had won I would have fancied them to play keep-ball in the sun against the English and go through, as it is I'd now have to favour Sven's men.

Santini will take some flak for fielding a weakened side. The French have to realise that Zidane and Vieria can't win it on their own.

.....Trezeguet and Henry are having a piss poor poor tournament by their standards.

I can't remember a really big game for Arsenal or France that Henry has really delivered in.

What are the French playing at? Desailly won't be able to look at himself in the mirror this morning after his defending for the second goal, and the front two seem to be way off the pace.

France like this are definately beatable but will surely get a lot better in the knock out stages. As for Mornar's miss, Wolves fans probably weren't surprised.

.

Well he delivered against Liverpool when we really needed him and Man Utd in the league but i do see where your coming from, he does have a slight tendancy to go missing sometimes (especially the last 4 games of the season....yes ok i know the league was already won then, but he looked not bothered !)

Well he delivered against Liverpool when we really needed him......

Er.....oh yeah. I'd actually blocked out that bit of memory. :D

Henry really needs to do it on a big European stage. It's all well and good outclassing a very average Liverpool defence but I'm looking for him to shine on a big European stage whether for club or country, and he has yet to do so to my knowledge.

Before i saw the croatia game last night i was predicting that we'd easily beat them.
But, they put up a great performance against France (much better than ours on sunday).
I think they'll really put us to the test. Fair enough our players will be on a high cos of the win last night, but also it's going to be even more pressure.
How will Rooney hold up?

Agreed, that game showed just how tough it's going to be for us to get a result from the last game.
