What utter fucking bollocks. That was a goal by Sol Campbell and we should have won it by now not be in extra time there have been a lot of times where the ref has given free kicks for fucking nothing. I swear he's being biased towards Portugal.

that was not a proper goal, it was a foul. in the replay you can see campbell blocking the keeper's arm... good call by the ref (some of whose decisions i didn't agree with)

Glad to see I'm not the only one fuming over this. England have won in my mind, I don't care what happens now.

you don't want to win by CHEATING, do you?

Never a foul Terry didn't do anything wrong. It's just as bad as people diving in the box to get a penalty. When it happens against youe side you should be mad. When it happens to your side you don't care if you get the goal thats the way the games played.

the first header resulted in the ball hitting the bar and then bouncing BACK INTO play, so it is illegal for a player to block the goalkeeper's arms, which is what campbell did. it was a good call.

Campbell didn't block the keeper. John Terry did block the keeper when he was going for the ball that Campbell also was but it wasn't in anyway intentional. You trying jumping up any height without putting your arms up you can't.

Well I suppose I better congratulate Portugal. And *gulp* they deserved to win.

The English midfield were asleep for most of the game, especially Beckham. A captain is supposed to lead by example but he seemed to pass the ball almost straight after he received it. I am sure we will hear lots of bullshit about us missing Rooney, but that cannot excuse the way that we slept until they were ahead.

Fuck Beckham

In my mind I'm going to sleep on a huge pile of money with many beautiful ladies tonight.

Oh! Wait! That's just my imagination. Oh well back to stupid reality.

I gotta say SIV, it was no where near a foul. The keeper was no where near the ball, and was falling before the ball even started coming down. Campbell actually ended up taking Terry out, oh and i hardly call an arm brushing the keepers shoulder holding him back.

Sadly, I agree with this. If it was won on merit throughout the game, Portugal probably deserved to win. Shite mid-field. Bad tactical move on defending as soon as we're ahead. We've never learnt that mistake.

I hate it when such things as the disallowed goal happen, not because its 'denied' us a place in the semi-finals,but because it deflects from the real reason we didnt win the match and would never have won the Tournament,we cant defend a lead, and despite good individuals at the back we cant defend full stop! And James isnt the keeper to take us into the next World Cup.

Just to clarify, its my understanding that John Terry grabbed the goalie on his way down from the jump, but not until after the goal had gone in. Ergo, it shouldnt really have been disallowed.

Ah well, if it was going to penalties we were buggered :/

I can see the Sun headline in the morning "Robbed by a Beardy Blind Toblerone".

Doesnt have quite the same ring...

We won that game, it isn't sour grapes, it's a fact!!!!! The referee had it in for England from the start, Campballs goal was legit, that is a fact!!! We may not have played well, you can't deny that but at the end of that day the end score was 2-1 to England I don't care what hapened after that. As far as I'm concerned England were the victors cruelly robbed by a plainly biased referee. By the way the whole group I watched the game with said as soon as they said the ref was Swiss that he would knock us out, infact funny to think that we were knocked out by the Swiss after all!!!

Whistle was blown before that incident for campbell pushing a defender.
.sorry.

The Swiss are neutral. Don't blame that incident the simple fact is we were outplayed for most of the match.

The only way we are going to win a tournament is to rectify our faults, not to blame a mistake by a referee.
