Origin of Orwel

Hello can anyone please advise me if there is anyway to intercept messages being sent on the secondary computer on a network. I think I was told at one point this is possible. If this is possible could you please let me know how this can be done (preferably in layman terms as I'm not too great with computers and will be relaying the information to a friend).
Here's hoping

This would depend on how the messages are being sent, the seup of your network, etc, etc.
There are a few networky people around on here, but I think they will need a bit more detail in order to help you. Give us as much info as possible and I'm sure someone will be able to give you a definitive answer.

From a generic point of view, do a google on the word 'keylogger' to get you started. assuming you have unrestricted access to both PCs you should be able to run a package to moniter keystrokes without too much effort. If you don't, it's not gonna be easy without learning a bit.

You need a packet sniffer.

Although I should add that your network topology and the level of encryption used will probably dictate how successful you will be.
