I've been playing a lot of Fifa 2004 (Xbox) in Career Mode recently, theres a bit of a problem though - I can't figure out how to sell players. A load of players keep appearing in the clubs intersted section, but they never make offers, and there isnt a transfer list as such to put players on.

I know how to negotiate and buy players, but havent got a clue how to get rid of the useless wastes of space in my side.

Anyone know how to?

I don't have this but a cursory look at gamefaqs reveals that you can sell players... only when people have shown an interests to buy them.

GameFaqs was the first place I looked and it only told me what I already know - but I have since found out that players can only be put on the transfer list when the transfer window is open.

I waited for the transfer window to arrive, and theres no visible way of doing it.



To place players on the transfer list, pull L/R, select ADD TO TRANSFER LIST and confirm (to take him off the list, select REMOVE FROM TRANSFER LIST). To release a player from his contract, select RELEASE PLAYER and confirm. If a club is interested in your player, you can negotiate a deal to sell him by selecting the NEGOTIATE WITH... option and ACCEPT/REJECT the offer

You can only sell players when a) the transfer window is open and b) when a club expresses an interest in a player. You find out if anyone is interested by scrolling through the same options that you used to add him to the transfer list.

If for example Arsenal are interested in a player.. there will be an option to 'negotiate with arsenal'. I don't know the exact buttons to press, as I'm not near my x-box at the moment.

And it took me ages to figure out how to do this, and I HAVE the manual.

There are about five players who clubs are interested in, the transfer window has passed twice and I havent been able to negotiate with any of the clubs.

And I have the manual. (which is where I got the stuff in my previous post from)
