Aerin Jul 27, 2004, 10:05 now now girlfriend, you're treading into middle aged lady land there!! A girl like you should be into Elle or Glamour..... CrossDressKate Jul 27, 2004, 11:05 now now girlfriend, you're treading into middle aged lady land there!! A girl like you should be into Elle or Glamour..... Aerin i just couldn,t help myself .I found some really good storys in there. And ok i admit it i do read Elle sometimes Zelda Jul 27, 2004, 11:46 Marie Claire, Cosmo and Company. Glamour occasionaly, although it is probably the best out of the ones I've mentioned, simply because they're aware that black and asian women read it and include us in their make-up advice sections. Aerin Jul 27, 2004, 12:02 good articles in Marie Claire, very hard hitting Glamour is cool for sheer unadulterated celebrity shite, it has to be In Style UnoChild Jul 27, 2004, 13:20 The lady reads Cosmopolitan, and I occasionally have a flick through.. Is it just me, or are these magazines 75% advertisements? I'm often* left wondering where the actual articles are amongst the hoardes of shampoo, clothes, jewellery adverts.. Or is THAT the content? * Not that often wbps Jul 27, 2004, 14:24 I used to read my flatmates. The sheer number of adverts is astonishing. They are also presented differently than in mens mags: More emphasis on ladies bodies, which came as a not unwelcome surprise. :) Or is that just a male reaction...? Hmmmm. I swear, these magazines are sold on weight: I go jogging wearing a backpack with about 6 of these stuffed in. It gaves me a weight increase of 5Kg, and if I feel like more weight, in goes another issue. They read Glamour, Cosmo and Vogue. salsa Jul 27, 2004, 15:41 I read Heat, and thats about it. jemm Jul 27, 2004, 16:38 Unless my daughter leaves one here i don't read them too busy reading my books :) Cyberhun Jul 27, 2004, 17:22 I'm more of a book girl too. And I'd rather read Viz than any of those crappy women ones. I Drink Cosmopolitan though, if that counts? Minx Jul 27, 2004, 17:48 I read Loaded, FHM and Maxim, and Heat and Inside Soap. Well, I used to, when I had time to read things written on paper that didnt want money :D I used to buy all sorts of nonsense, Best, Womens Own, Take A Suicide Note. But they were all full of people worse off than most telling their heartwrenching tales of woe, and not the uplifting humorous read I need. The mens magazines are much more tongue in cheek and interesting. Mariska Jul 28, 2004, 02:21 I'll look through Ralph if my son leaves one around. I used to read F1 Racing but now I get all the good articles about my drivers of preference off the Net. Stopped getting Kerrang and Hitparader for the same reason. (Metal Hammer and Metal Edge disappeared off the market after the Goods and Services tax was introduced here.) Never touch womens magazines. Just a load of bollocks about cooking, fashion, kids, the Royal Family and Nicole Kidman. I work for 'Take A Closer Look' magazine on a voluntary basis so I always read that. blueeyes Jul 28, 2004, 02:29 Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire, and Jane....oh and does my boyfriend's Maxim, Razor, and Stuff count too??? Sometimes the men's magazines are much more interesting than the women's...especially when I'm not wanting to read about make-up, hair styles, or clothes! Taya Jul 28, 2004, 07:46 Im a cosmo girl. Ronin Da Bomb Jul 28, 2004, 07:57 I Read A Lot Of Womens Magazines. Is That Wrong? misschicago Jul 28, 2004, 08:55 I read Highlights magazine. I always learn something new, especially fron Goofus and Gallant. Minx Jul 28, 2004, 08:58 I Read A Lot Of Womens Magazines. Is That Wrong? No, I think it cuts both ways. :D And Im sure Postbanken boy doesnt shy away from feminine issues either! Zelda Jul 28, 2004, 09:37 I occasionaly read Forum and Men's Health (former flatmate's copy). blueeyes Jul 29, 2004, 02:46 I Read A Lot Of Womens Magazines. Is That Wrong? Nope...my boyfriend reads my Cosmos! harry007jnr Jul 29, 2004, 03:16 I swear, these magazines are sold on weight: I go jogging wearing a backpack with about 6 of these stuffed in. It gaves me a weight increase of 5Kg, and if I feel like more weight, in goes another issue. What would happen if you were run over? Imagine your family's shame at the funeral. "Yeah, there were SIX copies of womans own in his backpack." "WOW, really? i'd never figure him for a.. you know." "It's always the ones you least expect." Ditch em quick, use sandbags like the rest of us. Save yourself! |
