Exactly!

But I prefer winter holidays because:
1. I love skiing
2. Give me cold weather over hot anyday of the week. If you are cold you can always do something to warm yourself but once you are hot - that's it - there's not much you can do.

Winter. You know what to expect and are never disapointed. Plus it's Christmas and everybody loves Christmas.

Winter as I don't end up sweating like an obese pig, and no sunburn so I don't look like said pig being cooked.

PS. I hate Christmas though as I end up paying back for it over the next year.

I like being snug.

Although it is nice to go out wearing not much sometimes.

like all good canadians, i hate the winter.
but i like the median seasons, like fall or spring. In Canada we have only freezing and humid.

Winter. You have to keep warm by cuddling up to someone. By a big log fire. In a Swiss log cabin. With James Bond skiing off the edge of a mountain.

I prefer the winter season over summer too...gets too damn hot here in the summer although so far this summer has been pretty easy on us, and also as someone else said Christmas is in winter and it's my favorite holiday. :)

Winter is just tension and runny noses. Summer reminds you why you're alive.

Depends.

I tend to suffer from bouts of depression, and usually hit a low in the winter. In summer however I perk up and have much more of a zest for life.

However, in Winter you can get warmer by putting more clothes on. In summer, there's only so much you can take off without being stark bollock naked.

So to round my thoughts up:

Winter - Physically Comfortable, Emotionally Uncomfortable
Summer - Emotionally Comfortable, Physically Uncomfortable

If any of that makes sense.....

Definately summer. The sun shines (well it's supposed to) and everyone is in a good mood. It's not freezing when you're getting up for work in the morning and there's less chance of getting drenched on the way to work. You can drink in pub gardens, go to the park and the blue sky (when it's around) makes everyone a little bit happier.

Winter is cold and it's impossible to do anything properly when cold.

Summer, because:

1) I get depressed in the winter
2) Christmas is torture. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or six years old
3) Skiing is for tossers.
4) It never snows anyway
5) Summer is *warm* and you can *do* things.

Neither. I try to take my holidays in either Autumn or Spring. Kinda like Baby Bear's porridge - Just right....I'm a motorcyclist and Winter's too cold and Summer's too hot to be wearing all that safety gear....8)

I like Spring, around late April to end of May: then hay fever season starts and that's utter shite. Whoever developed the latest anti-histamines hit one small snag: alcohol negates their effects.

The bit of winter until Hogmanay is great: Crisp, frosty mornings, sitting by the fire in a pub, eating a steak pie with a pint of Guiness on a freezing afternoon, watching the football scores come in is great.

The bit of winter after new Year is crap though. It's like a guest who has outstayed their welcome
