TELEVISION DOCUMENTARY
Growing up is hard enough!
Cicada Films is an award winning London based documentary film company. We are currently researching for a television series about ‘gender’. The programmes will all be observational documentaries with the contributors telling their own stories. At the moment we are looking for young people and their families or carers to talk to.
How much help and support did you have? Did you know where to look for help?
Did you have access to medical help? What would you like to say to help others in your situation? When did you first realise that you had a gender identity disorder?
We want to make a very positive series, as informative and inspirational as possible. In the UK gender issues are rarely openly discussed, yet it is the first label that we ever possess, one which often defines the course of our lives.
Having talked extensively with people who know a lot more than I do we want your community to tell their own stories which will hopefully in turn help and inform others.
