What, in your opinion, is the Godfather 2 of the gaming world?
How did this game improve on the original? Was is bigger, faster, did it take advantage of new technology, did it have a better plot...?

For me, Midwinter 2: Flames of Freedom on my (still used today) Atari ST was the daddy. A massively bigger game with a vastly increased number of options on how to play the game, interaction with hundreds of characters, loads of different modes of transport and gadgets to use. Brilliant stuff.

Ayrton Sennas Super Monaco Grand Prix on the Sega Megadrive - awesome game. The original Monaco GP was wank.

Keen 4 was the best Commander Keen. At least... I think it was number four. Hmm...

Diablo 2, without a doubt.

Diablo was addictive enough, but Diablo 2 soaked up a substantial portion of my life.

Final Fantasy VII
I don't feel I need to explain, this was the first game that provoked an emotional response out of me and is still my favourite game ever.

It is mine as well. In my opinion the closest a computer game has ever come to being perfect.

Yeah, I found Squall a lot more 'aesthetically pleasing' than Cloud ;) and he had a cooler weapon. I loved VIII and I prefer the graphics in that but I preferred the plot and gameplay in VII. That might change when I get my new PC and finally get round to finisshing VIII though, I'll let you know.

I will have to go with Dominiod. FF7 was an emotionally provoking sequel. Driver 2 was for completely different reasons. I'm positively convinced that fuckin' game was cheating just to wind me up!
