I've just pre-ordered me a copy of Super Mario Sunshine, which is released in the uk on Oct 4.
Its been six years since the last Mario game. And that, I think, is six years too long.

Here is a link full of some resourses of Super Mario Sunshine: http://www.neoseeker.com/Games/Products/GC/mariosun/index.html

Tell us what you think.

Super mario 3 was cool but the 3D platformers are the way forward from here on out.

I preordered Vice City (PS2) last week... and I'm currently working through Resident Evil (GamePube)

If Mario didn't have some kind of big, dumb device on his back, it'd be a good game. Mario looks like a prick on this one.

That big dumb device on his back is supposed to be the best thing that has ever happened to mario as far as gameplay is concerned. The idea being that you can use the water pumping hose - or FLUDD pak, as it is known - to hover over land and sort of use it as a jet pak.
I think this is a brave move for mario cuz it would be a lil bit boring if all you can do is jump on people just to kill em. Its a nice change and I doubt very much if it will ever feature in any future mario games.

I've been following SMS since it first debut about a year and a half ago, and quite frankly if this game doesn't turn out to be the best Mario game ever...

yeah what finish yer post, dude.

I actually heard that it gets a lil bit repetative near the end. Not in the sense of gameplay but rather the fact that Mario is on a holiday island and there are no portals that send you to different world like the Ice World or the Lava world or the forest and platform worlds. But they also said that there is at least 25 hrs worth of gameplay before you complete it so that is pretty large considering...

Bought it today first thing in the morning. Been playing it all day and have a serious migraine now. But its a great game. Love it to bits. Easily the best game on the Cube so far. Until Zelda comes out in febuary that is.

The graphic effects in this are messed up, the water effect's passable (but nothing compared to the likes of ICO on the PS2) but the bizzare horizon with its odd shear and undulation is very strange indeed. Haven't played it tho, just watched it....

I thought the water effects were amazing. Never paid much attention to the horizon.

Ico is a game I just gotta play. Sounds amazing.
