When you started using makeup ?
What did it consist of was it just a bit of eye liner, Blusher, mascara?

How did your parents react ? :)

I started when I was about 6 or 7. My mum didn't really mind (she later said she expected I would), me dad tho.. well he flew of the handle big stylie.. It still makes me shudder to think about it.

My daughter has just started to ask / learn the art of deception, and she is 8

I never did. I don't know why, just never started. I suppose because I didn't really have a group of girl friends who I socialised with/went out with. I wore some when I got married. I don't have any make up at all now.

I only wore makeup when I went out until I was about 27 ( yes, last year) Then my mum dragged me to clinique and started me off on a regime and I can't get off it now.

Mum always said I could have makeup when I was 14... then 16.... and by then I didnt really care, unless it was somwhere nice.
However, I did live in a rural area, and putting on makeup means it takes me 14 minutes to get ready, rather than 4

I discovered it when I was 16....I used it for the first time on a first date and the guy asked me what was wrong with my eyes!!

I didnt use it again until quite recently....my 12 year old daughter has shown me how to apply it properly :)

I didnt really start to use it until i was about 15
The first time i tryed i must have looked like a clown.
With with help from some friends and my sister i managed to turn it into a facial art form.
Funny thing is now some of the other girls i know ask me for tips. Which is nice.

I never really wore a lot, used to wear a bit for going out, but since having my son who cant tolerate the smell and feel of make up on my skin I have tended not to bother unless its a very special occasion. Besides, you cant gild a lily ;)

Well, the very first time I put on lipstick, it was a scarry shade of red (Hooker Red as I like to call it), I went to the store with my mom when I was...8? There was a lurvley gentelman there who told me I looked like a little clown.
I still have not lived down that moment.
I really started when I was in about 6th grade so that would put me at about 12. I started really shaving my legs about then too. I was never in to makeup and still really am not.

I love to laugh at the girls that draw their lips on and their eyebrows as well. They are the ones that look like clowns.

I remember when i came out with it on first my grandad went mad. He said he didnt mind me wearin it but for fucks sake to put it on right. Mind you i was wearin pink eyeshadow at the time (no i dont know why either) so he had a point.

I used kiddies "Little Blossom" lipstick and nail varnish from Avon from the age of around nine. I had my first make-up set for christmas when i was twelve and have a hideous picture of me on christmas day wearing a green snood with matching gloves with my grey duffle coat wearing eyeshadow a la Angie Watts - blue on the bottomlid with pink on the top ewwwww :eyepop:
