lol I'm in the uk and pre-ordered my copy of Vice City today. It ain't illegal. Maybe it was at one point but I don't know about that. I had the first one on the Pc a while back tho.

There was the usual Daily mail hoo-hah when the first one came out. It was on GMTV once too, with big fat Eamon saying how evil and corrupt the photo realistic bitmaps were. Not illegal though

I can't understand why there is so much controversy surrounding this game. Firstly the are 18 cerificate. Secondly, there are movies that are much more violent than any GTA game. Even movies that have been given 15 certificate can be more violent.

Vice City is probably illegal to posses right now because it hasn't been released yet (or has it). Just like with any game, if you have it before it's released then that's what's known as pirating.

Rockstar Games (the folks who created GTA) usally distributes their games to other countries first before releaseing it into the U.S. where most of their games sell faster then they can get them off the shelves unlike others who start in their own country first i.e. Eido's sells it's games in the U.K. way before it's released to the states and Squaresoft eitheir doesn't bother with other countries or waits long until the game is a worn fad in Japan before releaseing it (such as the whole damn Final Fantasy series)

I just hate that. But Vice City is being released in america first this time. America on the 29th of Oct and Uk on 8 of November. But I went into Electronics Boutique the other day (I'm in uk) and there was a sign saying Oct 25th for release. I just wish these dudes would make there fucking minds up.
