Front cover of this month's Cosmopolitan UK features a picture of Mischa Barton and the words "I wont give in to body image pressure".

I cracked up at that.

Am I the only person annoyed by the hippocracy of mags likes Cosmo and Elle? They only feature women who look like they're yet to hit to hit puberty, but squwark on about how it doesnt matter what size you are, that all sizes are beautiful. If they really cared, they would feature women of all sizes in all their issues, but they couldnt really give a fuck.

Naturally thin women are made to feel guilty for being so, and those of us who arent a size 8 are made to feel like a whale.

As for Dove, its all a marketing ploy to get more women to buy their products. I dont think the CEO care's about body image, he's only after more money. And women are falling for it.

Is there anyone out there who's as sick of it as I am?

That is the reason that I stopped my subcription. I hate mags that make women, in general, feel like shit for being the size that they are. I now have a subcription to Parents! That is a mag that I can relate to!

Those dove ads really piss me off.
They have the whole series on the tube line i ride to work on.

"am i fat or fit?" -no you're fat

"flawed or flawless?"- Do you need to ask?

and a whole host of other shit ones.

Dove its a moisturiser. If you've got dry skin buy it. If not fook off

oooh , but Dove is a soap, and a shower gel and all other kinda rubbish aswell. But it is a ploy to make people with wobbly bits buy it.

thank goodness someone else is put off by those Dove ads. although i am surprised that you get them in the UK. (The freckled girl really freaks me out).

and while i find most skinny models attractive, Mischa Barton needs a sandwich. end of.

yes. they pander to the "thin is ONLY way to be"
but they have some articles worth a laaugh.
such as "how to do it in every room of the house" (but with a punchier title"
what, you need directions?
(theres a right way to do it???)
