i am sick of paying stupid amounts for

a) a jar of salt scrub which i can use at home

b) someone qualified in the area of beauty therapy to apply said salt scrub.

soon after ruminating on "whether it could really be that hard", i have started making my own, to much satisfaction.

step 1. Buy a bag of course sea salt, some nice oil (avocado is my favourite) and some essential oils (optional)

step 2. combine in jar.

step 3. scrub yourself all over before having a nice hot shower.

wonderful!

ps, rock salt works nicely as well, but dont forget to run it through a morter and pestle first :)

thanks taya, thats a great bit of advice :) I always look at them longingly in the shops, but then think its paying money for the heavy glass jar and all it contains really is a bit of salt which smells nice.

where would you get the oils from?

I use bodyshop africa spa salt scrub, its nice and not that expensive, a tub lasts me about 6 months and I use it twice a week.

nice alternative for those who cant be arsed getting salt scrub made from scratch.
