I'm not sure about erotic fiction, isn't that what we have the Porn forum for?

Now see, I wouldnt go in the porn forum looking for erotic fiction.

I know strictly speaking that porn is inextricably interlinked with E.F. but to my mind, its more about porn links and passwords in there. On a very general level, and please argue with me if you think I am wrong, but its my impression that men on the whole dont have a lot of time for erotic reading materials other than the ones with pictures.

Personally, I like books because you can kind of get into the role of the characters. With pictures, and films, you can't get involved with it at all, you can see that the act has already taken place with (occasionally) far more attractive people than the average jo/sephine is likely to encounter in real life. It makes things (for me, anyway) far more impersonal when I watch films or look at images.

Im not suggesting that women shouldnt go in the porn forum and use it as much as men, but Im guessing that's less likely to happen. I figured by having an erotica section here, it would provide us with a space to review books we have read, write our own (if we think we can) and link to online stories.

Okay, fair enough, I can see a point in that. Could I request though, for those of use who browse dogbomb from work that if erotic storeies are to be posted they are NSFW tagged at the very least but preferably if it is possible in a small sub-forum so as to avoid people accidentally cilcking on something that could get them in trouble with their employer.

That is a requirement of anything considered not suitable for work outside of the Porn forum. At the moment it is probably an unwritten rule since all the rules got up and walked away when the board was changed over, but it is still a requirement, and repeated ignorance can lead to flambe.

Also, Minx has also specified an option for making Bitches overall NSFW thus if you choose to view Bitches whilst at work you would take that risk. All of these options are up for the vote as we speak.

Im happy to ensure that high risk material is both appropriately labelled and tagged. If the forum does go completely NSFW then a rule will be applied to ensure that appropriate tags and explicit titling happens. I don't think it would be a problem to cater to those in work by at least letting them know in advance what to expect from a thread.

Im going to leave this poll open for a while, to see if any more people come along and vote, but its pretty widespread over most of the topics, so I propose an eclectic mix of pretty much everything there, except sport.

Best get on with it then...
