View Full Version : Crap Films
Old friends Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson have reunited for "Night at the Museum," the currently filming comedy about the adventures of a clueless security team dealing with cursed displays that come to life.
Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Ricky Gervais, Paul Rudd, Steve Coogan and Owen Wilson all star
Haven't seen it, but possibly the worst cast you could put together.
Greasy Art Jun 2, 2006, 11:57 Sounds like a plot from a 3 Stooges short. When does the Keith Moon movie come out (starring Mike Myers)?
Mnemosyne Jun 2, 2006, 12:02 Be interesting to see if "Snakes on a Plane" ends up being as dire as it is suggested it might be
Three Kings with George Clooney - direst crappy film I have seen for ages, though nowhere near as bad as Jerry Macguire - nearly divorced over that one
Three Kings and Jerry Macguire were both very good IMO.
Truly Madly Deeply is possibly the worst film I have ever seen. The hopping scene made me retch.
Greasy Art Jun 2, 2006, 12:05 Three Kings with George Clooney - direst crappy film I have seen for ages
I liked it.. would have thought that its cynicism would've appealed to your sensibilities..
Greasy Art Jun 2, 2006, 12:07 Worst movie I can remember seeing was The Jetsons Movie circa 1986 or so.. I was a big fan of the television show at the time for some reason... but the movie turned me off the stuff.
Mnemosyne Jun 2, 2006, 12:07 truly madly deeply is a nice film and it has a saab 96 in it so it can't be all bad
I think I am alone in the world with my opinions on Three Kings and Jerry Macguire, and Im willing to accept a differing of opinion with no fault implied
Greasy Art Jun 2, 2006, 12:08 I agree with you on Jerry Maguire, actually.
Jerry Macquire and Magnolia are the only decent films Cruise has done IMO. Maybe he should always play bad guys. When he's the hero he just comes over as a cock.
Greasy Art Jun 2, 2006, 12:15 Jerry Maguire seemed too unintentionally cartoonish to me, somehow... most movie's dealing with these types of 'high powered' professions give me the same impression... maybe it's just an unintentionally cartoonish world and I should adjust my expectations, eh?
dictatario Jun 2, 2006, 16:23 'I love Huckabees' was terrible, despite having some good actors in it.
seabreeze Jun 2, 2006, 16:29 'I love Huckabees' was terrible, despite having some good actors in it.
I recorded this because of the people in it but switched off after half an hour
Greasy Art Jun 2, 2006, 16:40 Wasn't it 'I Heart Huckabees'?.. anyways, I liked that one too.. it wasn't great, but not crap either. It seemed to try to be smarter than it was... but it wasn't stupid, either.
seabreeze Jun 2, 2006, 16:46 Wasn't it 'I Heart Huckabees'?..
Yes it was
UnoChild Jun 2, 2006, 17:29 Jerry Macquire and Magnolia are the only decent films Cruise has done IMO.
Magnolia is excellent
'I love Huckabees' was terrible, despite having some good actors in it.
I liked it.
Godzilla and The Mummy are possibly the two worst films ever.
Godzilla started well, then it they translated it into English and it went downhill from there.
Worst film I've still got in memory was Final Destination - got bored of the hype, then got dragged to the flicks to watch it. Still can't believe the gay twat sat next to me was jumping at bits which I was falling asleep to.
Also saw Fantastic Four recently on DVD, just to see if it was as bad as billed. yup, pretty weak as stories go. They totally got the idea wrong with that film, missing the point that their transformation wasn't what made them super heroes - it was the fact that they were a team. Might have helped if the script writer actually bothered to read some of the forty years worth of comics rather than a synopsis off the back of the video for the cartoon series.
Just hate the way all super hero films nowadays are about how the guy comes to their powers - no-one's got the bollocks just to say, "Hey, this bod's already super - accept it as the world view, and let's go with the story" Only film to do it the Incredibles. 'nuff said.
Flip Flopper Jun 12, 2006, 10:26 Three Kings with George Clooney - direst crappy film I have seen for ages.
:stupid:
One of the worst war/heist movies I've ever seen. Abject.
The Ox Jun 12, 2006, 10:45 Two shockers.... 1) Robocop II (how Peter Weller ever recovered from that one to appear in 24 I don't know) and 2) Mystery Men - great cast, potentially amusing plot, shite film.
safeasfuck Jun 12, 2006, 11:02 since we're on shite films & cruise has inevitably been mentioned, i'm surprised nobody's brought up vanilla sky....one of the worst films i've seen this decade.
if you are ever in a situation where you have this film in your hand, snap the disk in half & gouge your own eyes out with it to avoid the possibility of ever watching it, ever
Half of these films don't compare to the shite i've watched like Gigli and the Rollerball remake. Admitedly I was reviewing them for a website because they were bad, but christ those 2 films are torturous.
Daveyboy Jun 12, 2006, 11:51 Swept Away has no redeeming features whatsoever. And Jersey Girl is almost as bad.
Flip Flopper Jun 12, 2006, 12:49 This is probably the worst movie I've seen:
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0283043/
Directed by Larry Clark so I did have very low expectations, but even so ....
Be interesting to see if "Snakes on a Plane" ends up being as dire as it is suggested it might be
I am hoping this is the case. I am currently wearing me birthday pressie of a snakes on a plane t-shirt (has symbols for snakes + plane = snakes on a plane ).
An encouraging sign is that internet petitions ( i believe ) have successfully got a line added for Jackson , this being
"Get those motherfucking snakes off my motherfucking plane". I hope this is true.

I really liked vanilla Sky, not as good as the original, but still a good story and an enjoyable film.

I believe it was "I <3 Huckabees".
I reckon Alexander is not only the worst, but also the most offensive, repugent (I know it's not a word), nut-wrenching piece of shit film ever spewed onto celluloid.
Beatrix Kiddo Jun 23, 2006, 03:32 21 Grams has got to be the worst fucking film ever made. point. blank.
safeasfuck Jun 23, 2006, 08:41 its fairly bad. i managed abvout 15 minutes of 21 grams before wandering off to find a convenient door to repeatedly slam my head in rather than continue watching
Xavier Jun 28, 2006, 15:41 Post Impact
A recent rip off of all those meteroite blockbusters from 5-10 years ago starring Dean Cain. Bought and watched solely because Joanna Taylor is in it and gets her Norks out - I'm quite shallow like that.
Had to watch the whole thing just because it was so laughably bad. Especially the FX and set design. At one point said heros are out in the snow and the set design looks about as convincing as the christmas diarama you get at the local shopping centre. Dire, dire, terrible fucking film.
Joanna does have incredible chest lamps though.
UnoChild Jun 28, 2006, 21:53 21 Grams has got to be the worst fucking film ever made. point. blank.
Innit. Was boring
I really liked vanilla Sky, not as good as the original, but still a good story and an enjoyable film.
:stupid: I liked it. Excellent soundtrack.
