I noticed tonight that C4 didn't dare show pete in his hotpants for more than 5 seconds. Which is irritating not because of the perv factor but because it shows just how badly C4 edits the show. I swear I must have watched a about 3 hours of live feed yesterday where Pete was always in shot. About 45 mins was of the camera focused squarely on his crotch.
That's just one example, of this happening, the main focus for about 5 hours is often on one person doing something and then they don't show any of it on the show.
It gives the whole show a totally different feel, I actually feel sorry for Lisa, they show her being angry all the time on the C4 show but in real time its maybe one hour over the whole week. Nikki on the other hand moans and cries constantly.
Susy on the live feed is a very interesting intelligent and cultured, and seems to be bringing out the good side of Richard. Again you don't see that on C4.

I know they can't have a 2 hour show but they do edit it to show certain people in an unfair light. It also gives the show a false sense of perspective.



please note: I picked up on the pete thing because I kept finding myself looking at my tv and going "holy shit" "bloody hell" "fuck me that's big" and "jesus fucking christ, how much does this camera person fancy him? I'm all for a bit of pete crotch but fuck me this is getting ridiculous " every time I looked at the telly, it was kind of difficult to avoid.

C4's show was always a slightly biased snippet of the whole show. Every year those watching the live feed have the same complaint because the majority of voters are probably those who just catch the highlights not the live feed and thus voted accordingly.

Maybe one day they'll get it right.

Most people don't have time to sit and watch the show all day and night. They want the condensed version of when there was some action. I rarely watch the live feed becasue it's boring. People are sleeping, sitting still, producers mask the sound, people mumble so you can't hear properly etc.

The thing about Susy says to me that the production team conclude that Susy is a boring fuck, not worthy of a 'best bits' show, so her sections are binned.

I meant what I said. They do tend to focus the camera on one or two people who are say, cooking or having an interesting chat for several hours at a time when there are no tasks going on.
Pete wasn't just stood there in his hotpants doing nothing, he was being very funny as well, but so were other people at the same time and yet they chose to focus the camera on pete's crotch for several hours, and yes sometimes they also focus the camera on The Oilys for a long long time, not so much now because obviously the novelty has worn off but in the beginning.......

You said yourself you don't watch the Live feed, so how the fuck do you know this? They are not showing Susy because of the amount of airtime she got during the Golden Ticket thing, not because she is "boring" as I said she is a very clever funny woman, who deserves much more airtime than the actually very boring Imogen.

I don't actually watch the show "day and night" but I do have the live feed on my big tv/computer 24/7 It's like having a fish tank, you sort of pick up on certain words that indicate that something interesting is happening and focus in on the show, then when it's over you tune back out again.

I said I rarely watch the live feed. The whole point of what I said is, because I don't watch her on the live feed, I'm inferring the producers must have decided she's not entertaining becasue otherwise they would put more of her on the CH4 show, where they put the days best bits. I wouldn't know for sure becasue I haven't seen her on the live feed!

What I have seen of her has been boring so I don't find it hard to believe. Imogen is boring too, I don't think too many people would dispute that. :)

What I've seen of the live feed is very annoying. They seem to be having a perfectly innocent conversation, then the sound goes off for three minutes or something. Why?

They have to cut the sound if someone starts singing, or if they mention something personal about friends/family. Nikki is bad for the latter.
