Watching the live feed the other night they were all eating in the living room and was shocked that Aisleyne and Susie were holding their knives in their left hand and forks in the right. The other housemates were all doing in the right way round. At first I thought it was a reflection in the mirror but it wasn`t. I can`t believe Susie of all people would do this. She must eat out with all her posh friends so someone must have pulled her up about it and it just looked really weird.
My left handed friends hold their cutletry that way round, maybe thats why?

Not sure. My husband and 2 of my friends are left handed but they never hold them like that.
I eat that way, i'm right handed but eat left handed, maybe it's just habit or more natual to use my proper right hand to use the knife so that I can get some force into my cutting and slashing :)

Having just read the post again perhaps I eat proper then :eyepop:
My son is left handed and holds his knife in his left hand and fork in the right. when he eats with a spoon - always in his left hand.

I am not ambidextrous but I write with my right hand and that's about it, almost everything else I do left handed, including holding a fork and knife.
I'm left handed and eat left handed.I remember my school dinner lady thinking I was playing up , she could not get it that I was abnormal. (she was adamant I was taking the piss).I ended up calling her a ingnorant cow.And got detention.

I'm left handed but I went to a strict primary school where I was punished with lines whenever I ate left handed so I've eaten right handed ever since!
