Is anyone considering going to see this just to see how daft it is?

Yes, I can't wait.

Eight Legged Freaks had me salivating and sorely dissapointed. The art of good horror film names seems to have died in the 50's; "Big scary man-eating creature from the depths" etc.

In fact, most of the best (and arguable least imaginitive) horror titles have been taken by the films of Vincent Price:

"The Bat" ("when it flies, someone dies!")
"The Tingler"
"The Fly"

What a legend.

Anyway, Snakes on a Plane is one of the most promising film titles for decades and will surely be a pile of tripe, but entertaining tripe.

Apparently the working title was 'Pacific Air Flight 221'. Wonder why they changed that?

word on the grapevine is that sam L jackson refused to be in it if they didnt change the name to snakes on a (mother fuckin) plane. which i think makes him perhaps the most leg endish leg end i ever did see. what a man!

i personally cant wait to see this movie and was supposed to be seeing it tonight but im hung over. poo :( the trailer looks awesome due to the absolute parody and spoofyness. i love the dude sitting in the chair with a huge snake hissing in hisface and he is jsut screaming like there is no tomorrow instead of doing something about it.

its gonne be comedy gold - my predicion = 10/10.

snakes ona motherfuckin plane, byatch!

I believe that it was that he wanted his favourite word in there MF... and so did a lot of the internet people who were following the making of the movie. All Samuel was told when he decided to accept was that the title of the film was Snakes On A Plane. He hadn't even read the script!

Heard something similar. He was approached to do the film Snakes On A Plane and agreed straightaway, but then during filming, the production company wanted to change the film title to Flight 129 (or someother number) and he threatened to pull out unless they kept it as Snakes On A Plane. \m/

It looks like 25 year old white dog shit. Real vintage crap.

They could have saved some grace and had ''Dolphins on a Plane''. More of a slapstick element and everyone (especially people with limp wrists) LOVE the dolphins.

It's not done as well at the box office as predicted, apparently. Which is fine by me, as this sort of thing could set a bad precedent - internet dweebs deciding what goes where etc.

The film is nothing than a schlocky action/horror film. Saying that though Its great fun. You can tell that Sam Jackson is having a great time in the film and the added scenes definitely add to the film. Though I would say its most probably more suited to be watched with a few beers with mates on DVD that at a cinema.

"Everyone (especially people with limp wrists) LOVE the dolphins."

I have a limp wrist (metaphorically) and I can't stand the squeaking knob-nosed fuckers.

I went to the cinema with out knowing any times, deciding to see either Adrift or Snakes on a Plane, whichever was on soonest. Turned out to be SOAP, and I was pleaasntly surprised. It didn't take itself too seriously, which is why it definitely wasn't bad. The cast seemed to be having fun and the film delivered - there was most definitely snakes on a plane.

I'd say don't write it off - if critics could make brilliant films, they'd be doing it instead of criticizing those who give it a go. SOAP certainly isn't brilliant, but you're not going to come away from it bored or with out a laugh.

Then again, I love snakes, I'm fascinated by them so much that I've been able to watch Jennifer Lopez trying to act in Anacondas more than once with out ramming something sharp through my brain. So I suppose it was pretty guarenteed I'd enjoy this film.

totally didnt expect it to be like this. i thought it would be a slap stick comedy but it is instead a thriller. no comedy attempted really. but still, surprisingly, quite good. i cant believe its a fucking book!

It was 10,000 times better than Adrift.
