Amanda Huggenkiss Oct 11, 2006, 11:01 Is million dollar hotel worth a watch? gwyatt Oct 11, 2006, 11:04 Haven't seen it. Kings of the Road is great, as is American Friend and Hammett. Have you seen Paris Texas? Amanda Huggenkiss Oct 11, 2006, 11:20  got the freebee last year. I still have wings of desire to sit all the way through, and Until the End of the World directors 3DVD 5 1/2 hour jobby to manage too. gwyatt Oct 11, 2006, 11:22 I loved WOD when I saw it at the cinema. Not sure I could watch it at home, what with it being subtitles, fairly slow and in b&w. comababy Oct 11, 2006, 12:04 Paris, Texas, but that's due to Sam Shepard's excellent screenplay as much as anything. Wenders is a tad overrated for me. Daveyboy Oct 11, 2006, 12:23 Got to be Paris Texas, a gem of a film. Great soundtrack too. gwyatt Oct 11, 2006, 12:28 Has anyone else seen Kings of the Road (http://www.wim-wenders.com/movies/movies_spec/kingsoftheroad/kingsoftheroad.htm)? It really is a little gem. Patrick Oct 11, 2006, 15:38 Wings of Desire is the best.Plus its got Columbo in. Mr. Biscuit Oct 11, 2006, 18:43 Has to be Buena Vista for me, but then I've only actually seen Paris Texas out of all the others, and that was about 15 years ago. BVSC is a gem though - a great lesson in humility. Got front row balcony seats to see what's left of them at Hammersmith Apollo next year. |
