Today I went shopping with a friend of mine into Chester. This friend is more like an eating buddy of mine and over the years we have been a bad influence on each other where food is concerned.
Chester has 3 (perhaps more) really good all you can eat chinese restaurants and many times we have been we have always said "no need to go mad and we will avoid the deep fried goodies" but once there we leave the willpower on the pavement and usually go mad. Today however was different, once we arrived in Chester I stated that I was not going to a chinese - so we didn`t.
I then said I would have something healthy for lunch - so I did.
When asked if I wanted dessert, I said no. Back at my friends house I was offered chocolate and again I said no.
Today I feel good that my willpower stayed with me all day :D

Well done! You must feel a lot more confident now that you haven't given in eh?

I'm crap at saying 'no' at the beginning of diets, which is why I've had to be extra careful recently. But once I start losing a lot of weight and get more confident I find it so much easier to only eat what I need/the healthy alternative.

Was tempted to buy a tuna salad baguette at the college canteen today (I'm giving up bread, makes me bloated) but convinced myself that the salad bar was the better option. I was then tempted to slap a load of coleslaw and potato salad in my little tub, but made myself pick grated carrots, lettuice and a bean salad instead, which I'm dead proud of. Would be pretty silly to have salad and only eat the stuff covered in mayo.

I didn't think I'd like it, but it was actually really tasty, and I preferred it to the usual soggy sandwiches I get. Plus it was cheaper too, only £1 for a small tub. Which meant I had cash over to buy a tasty treat after college...the tasty treat being a banana of course ;)

mmm!
