I used my real name since "miss" "name" or "hater" aren't particularly good epithets.

Today I have been very naughty. I'm supposed to eat three times a day with each of my insulin injections, but I've been rushing about all over the place and I have been bad. I should also point out that I have to have at least 1/3 carbs on my plate because it helps absorb my medication.

Anyway, here goes:

2:30pm McChicken Sandwich and medium fries. Very bad start to the day, but since it was so late I had to get some carbs and quick. I'm deliberately avoiding looking up the calories.

5:00pm Mum made chicken, potato and pea soup, no idea about the calorie content.

7:30pm An apple, 50 kcal

Later I will probably have a bowl of Special K since I've been fancing some all day.

And believe it or not, that's it. If I hadn't had so much to do that would probably have quadrupled in both size and calorie content. At least I get to start my thread on a relatively good day calorie wise (since I'm assuming that's within the recommended daily allowance, I could be wrong).

Tomorrow I will try not to make excuses for what I eat. :)

My fella's diabetic and it has actually helped me get into a better routine of eating since I moved in with him! His top tip for topping up carbs is to have a Mullerice for pudding. I hate them, but they're low fat.

Don't Mullerice have loads of sugar in them? I like them, but I think the last one I checked had about 15g of sugar in it.

I dunno. I think he's a bit of a naughty diabetic, but I'm trying to change his ways.

Calamari and Ebly (bet you didn't know you can still get that)

2 scrambled eggs on toast

Low fat crisps

Might have some Special K later

Break: A ham roll and low fat crispies

Dinner: Piece of lamb, a dumpling, 1 1/2 large potatoes, carrots, runner beans and pearl barley. And a bit of bread to mop up the juice, lovely. Stew, courtesy of my nan.
Orange segments in natural juice and custard to follow.

Tea: Either boiled egg and soldiers (yeah, I still have that) or strangled egg on toast. Undecided.
